Verandah, a master-planned community now being developed by Kolter Homes, in Fort Myers, recently hosted a model grand opening event for the Realtor community. During the event, Realtors had the opportunity to tour eight furnished models by five different homebuilders, priced from the $200s to over $1 million. The builders are Kolter Homes, D.R. Horton, Neal Communities, Wyman Stokes Builder, Inc. and Royal Corinthian Homes.

The models included the Hibiscus in River Point, by Wyman Stokes; the Chelsea by D.R. Horton in Otter Bend; the Daybreak by Neal Communities in Palmetto Grove; the Anna, the Isle, the Largo and the Sanibel by Kolter Homes in Fairway Cove; and a single-family home model by Royal Corinthian in Brantley Oaks.

After touring the models, participants were asked to enter their “tour cards” into a drawing to win $500. A finale party was then held at the Verandah Club, featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment.

Located along the Orange River in Fort Myers, Verandah features 36 holes of golf; the River House with alfresco dining; a tennis and fitness center offering a heated pool; Blossoms Boat House, a meeting place for residents with riverfront decks and canoe and kayak livery; and a dog park.

The community offers single-family homes, maintenance-free villas and coach homes starting in the $200,000s. The information center is located two miles east of Interstate 75 on State Road 80, at 11571 Verandah Blvd., in Ft. Myers. For more information, call 239-694-7199 or visit
